Vicki and Ben’s wedding breakfast menu
‘By Ambience offered us amazing food and attention to detail at every moment throughout our wedding day. It was exceptional service from booking to the wedding day itself. I would recommend them to anyone and all of my wedding guests commented on how delicious the food was. I have to say front of house were exceptional too and they really looked after me. I hadn’t told my wedding guests I was pregnant yet so the constant glasses of water brought to me made me able to get through morning sickness on the day too. Thanks again so pleased we booked with you.’
This time I have started with the testimonial. We met Vicki at a wedding fare in mid Sussex during the early part of 2017. From there I arranged a meeting with both Vicki and Ben at their home to discuss their plans for their wedding day and their wedding breakfast menu. Their venue was arranged from the word go, in a garden at a family members’ home in Leith Hill. They had organised a 30m Marquee to host their wedding reception after the ceremony.
We provided a wedding menu tasting during the run up to the day and ensured the Bride and Groom were happy with the selection of food on offer. Vicki wanted to make sure the food would taste just as good when served to 100 of their guests on the day – I assured her they were in capable hands!
When the guests arrived they were dropped off by a vintage bus at the bottom of the lane, with a short meander through the amazing gardens of the property, and over a bridge covering the stream. The garden even had an original Dr Who Phone Box! A tasty champagne and Pimms reception awaited them served by our experienced team to toast the happy couple after the ceremony.
A Jazz band played whilst we served canapés and more champagne on the lawn outside of the marquee whilst the family photos and group photos were taken. Upon the return of the bride and groom, the guests had been seated and the newlyweds were greeted.
The three course wedding breakfast menu consisted of smoked duck with rocket, fresh pomegranate seeds and orange segment salad with chilli and pickled ginger dressing. It’s without a doubt one of my favourite starters. This was followed by our 12hr slow cooked red wine and rosemary shoulder of lamb served with garlic and parmesan dauphinoise potato with fresh baby vegetables. Finally, for dessert we presented our very popular 2017 dessert strawberry and mango Eton mess. In my opinion, it was a winning wedding menu!
After the meal I went to see Vicki and checked the bride and groom were happy. Vicki confirmed it was better than the tasting they had! We passed! Throughout the day we provided a bar for the guests that continued late into the evening. At 9pm they had a small firework display and returned to bacon and sausage crusty rolls with all the condiments, which the guest thoroughly enjoyed. The dancing continued late into the evening!
Congratulations Vicki and Ben, we wish you the best of luck for the future and the best of luck with the new addition to the family coming soon!
